June 10 2008 Reconstruction

We've been exploring ways of making the broad expanse of the "enclosures" seem less monolithic in test renders. Or as Lubov says, "make it less boring." The lime coating on the buildings and enclosures also poses a problem for dome bounce -- so we're looking at ways to minimize the amount of white pixels in any image.
Shadow volume, the play of clouds passing over the enclosures, rain-slick surfaces, magic hour, and evening lighting. The long draping shadows in this version hide the white lime enclosures, and emphasize planes of light from near to far DOF.
